DECLINE

  1. A stick-framed, vinyl-clad teepee for the north wing. A corrugated sheet metal structure for the south wing. Perhaps this is the most interesting double wide in all of south-central Nebraska.
  2. An advertisement for the attraction not too many miles west of this billboard. Below an attraction for bathing and cooling.
  3. Conestoga collapses now. This decorated shed is not far from Lincoln, NE heading west on 1-80.

All wonderful symbols celebrating the glory of “going west”. Teepees, Wagons, Pioneers. All deteriorating now as symbols of a new set of American values arise. For better or worse, what were once splendid reminders of a recent change, these could be observed to have evolved to splendid reminders of current change!
